An MA graduate from Aarhus University/Columbia University (SIPA) with a BA in political science from Aalborg University, Lena Odgaard has specialized in multimedia reporting and covering conflict and politically sensitive areas.
Since moving to the Middle East in 2011 she has mainly been based in Palestine and Israel while also covering other areas in the region including Egypt, the UAE and Bahrain.
Lena Odgaard also works as a media trainer, project coordinator and communications consultant in areas of media development and journalistic social media usage.
She reports in English and Danish, speaks and understands German and Scandinavian languages and is a Kathryn Davis Peace Fellow in Arabic.
